FIFF film market announces deadline

Fajr International Film Festival has announced requirements for participation at the international film market screenings.

With the deadline for registration at the international film market set for March 01, 2018, the festival announced short films to be under 15 mins while feature-length flicks must run over 75 mins.

The goal of the event is to introduce feature and short films as well as documentaries produced in 2017, to international distributors, customers and foreign guests.

So far, over 600 filmmakers from 35 countries of the world have sent their submissions for the competition.

Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the 36th edition of the festival runs April 19-27, 2018 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
